Induction brazing

In some cases, brazing may be more appropriate than welding. We at Proton Engineering have extensive experience of both induction brazing and manual brazing. Our customers are world leaders in the automotive and engineering industries.

Thanks to our ability to work with both manual brazing and induction brazing, we have the flexibility to choose the most cost-effective method. We use brazing e.g. when attaching banjo nipples to pipes for use in engine rooms. This method can also be used for brazing attachments etc. Induction brazing gives a stable and even process with high quality as a result. Reducing the risk of overheating ensures a safer process with little risk of weak joints. The risk of a dry joint is also reduced since induction generates heat in the base material.

Quick facts

  • Welding in steel and stainless steel
  • Manual or robot welding depending on customer needs and what is most cost-effective
  • Robot welding is performed using CMT technology, which in principle gives spray-free weld seams
  • All welders are licensed according to ISO 287-1
  • We are working with WPS to create a standard and prevent problems
