At Proton Engineering we work with qualified complete solutions about pipebending and welding. From prototypes and series production, to assembly, and various forms of delivery and logistics solutions. Since June 2009 we are also working to develop and produce beds to hospitals and home care.
The story
You probably know us by the names Anders Krahner and Skillmech.
From March 2009 we are one company only. Both in terms of targeting and specific knowledge. We belong to the same business area; Proton Engineering AB.
In June 2009 was also an asset deal with Proton Caretec, to become even stronger. We, therefore, belongs the same business; Proton Engineering AB
Anders Krahner were established 1936 and we have a long story. Already in 1950 we produced seats to both Volvo PV 444 och Saab 93. Even today, we are suppliers to the Swedish vehicle manufacturer, which we are very proud.
When Skillmech were established in 1909, we made wheels of wood, sleighs and wagons. During 1920 we made everything from bus bodies and skis. During 1950 we started to manufacture furnitures, as we continued with ever since. Since then a lot have happened.
Proton Caretec has since 1954 delivered more than 500,000 beds, bedside tables, plinths and trucks to hospitals and nursing homes around the world. In the mid-60s we were a major supplier to the Swedish health care providers. We were bought up by the LIC, which then owned the company until 1990. We are since then within the Proton Group.
Qualified components
We have high technical skills and are great with process optimization after more than 70 years in our buisness. Today we manufacture qualified components and steel constructions based on pipebending, robot welding, endforming and complete assembly. Components that together make a complete solution.

Engineering AB is one of five business areas in Proton Group, a group that formed in 1990. During the years we have increasingly become a supplier of services and solutions. Sharp solutions that we have made in cooperation with our customers.
